Simple Money Candle Ritual
When you want to channel your ambition and commit to a tangible income or savings target.
What this ritual is for
A candle will not make money appear on your doorstep. But carving a specific number into wax forces you to stop being vague about what you need and what you plan to generate.
What you need(4 items)
- A green or honey-colored beeswax candle
- A toothpick, pin, or blunt needle for carving
- A few drops of olive oil or cinnamon oil
- A small piece of paper
Practical substitutions
You don't need to buy specialty supplies. Use what's in your home.
- →Any neutral candle. Kitchen olive oil works wonderfully.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Decide on the exact figure
Vagueness is the enemy of financial movement. Do not say 'more money.' Decide on a realistic, concrete number needed for a specific expense, invoice, or emergency fund.
Carve the vessel
Using the pin or toothpick, carve the exact dollar amount and a simple upward arrow into the side of the candle from the base toward the wick.
Dress with intent
Rub a single drop of oil between your palms. Smooth it onto the candle from base to top, speaking your intention: 'Clear labor, honest worth, direct return.'
Burn with focus
Light the candle. Sit before it for ten minutes and visualize the steps of execution—sending the pitch, submitting the invoice, cutting the waste. Allow it to burn safely in a dish.
Journal & Reflection Prompt
“Do I feel guilty about asking for what my work actually costs to produce?”
Safety Notice
Do not leave burning candles unattended. Keep flammable oils away from the wick itself. Does not guarantee economic windfall.
